I read this bit of trivia a couple of days ago which stated that the wooley mammoth they found perfectly preserved in Siberia still had buttercups and other plants in its mouth which are only found near the equator... and the mammoth’s flesh was perfectly preserved too, and the dogs feasted on it without getting sick...

I wonder if the poles really have been poles for a long time!!
